Va-va-va-voom! Another stunner from Galliano’s Dior couture show. It’s, not surprisingly, earning raves. Suzy Menkes, Hadley Freeman, Hillary Alexander all fawned over the retro-glam looks. Suzy even goes so far as to credit Galliano (and muse Carla Bruni) with “saving” couture and giving it the “kiss of life.” I cannot disagree. Galliano is the only couturier working that can bridge the worlds of fantasy and real world glamour. He takes you to the edge, but is wise enough to edit and keep you hanging. Please, give your eyes and sartorial-side a treat and view the entire show. To call this man a designer is a disservice - he is truly an artist.
