The 60s are officially back. From Chanel’s Cruise line, inspired by Brian Jones (the late, founding member of the Rolling Stones) to Gucci’s S/S ‘09 men’s collection - paisley, vertical stripes and tie-dye is popping up everywhere. The timing is perfect. We’re officially into the dog days of summer. Long skinny pants with fitted print tees for men, boho maxi dresses for the girls. Androdgyny is also back on the table - many of the Chanel Cruise looks were heavily menswear-inspired. I could picture David Bowie rocking many of the looks.

On the flip side, Marc Jacobs and Prada are both showing male models sporting dresses - the former in his new Teller-photographed Marc by Marc ad campaign and Prada during their S/S ‘09 show. Not that this is the first time Miuccia has styled her boys in very feminine attire. I consider myself quite opened minded when it comes to fashion and style, but when comes to dresses and skirts, I’d perfer they stay on the gals.
